Police officers - ACT Policing

ACT Policing is the AFP's community policing service. It provides policing services to the Australian Capital Territory (ACT) community on behalf of the ACT Government.

ACT Policing officers are the first point of contact for members of the public who need help. They also work with the community to address victim-based crime, threats to community safety, serious and organised crime, and road safety.

Entry Level Recruit Program

Applications are now open for ACT Policing’s Entry Level Recruit Program with training commencing in 2024. Applications close 11.59pm AEST on 21 January, 2024.

As an ACT police officer, you can make a positive difference to the lives of the people in your community, with each day presenting new opportunities to make an impact.  ACT Policing is now inviting applications from people who are interested in making a positive contribution to society, within a rewarding, stimulating and challenging role.
