What is the role?
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Microsoft Exchange Administrator to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining our Microsoft Exchange environment, ensuring its optimal performance, security and availability. This role requires a deep understanding of Exchange Server, Office 365 and related technologies, as well as excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
This is an excellent opportunity if you are highly skilled in the following:
- Microsoft Exchange on premises and hybrid environments
- Exchange Online
- Office 365
- Exchange Online Protection (EOP)
- Active Directory
You will also be required to contribute to the achievement of outcomes in accordance with the regulatory framework, the AFP Code of Conduct and the AFP Governance Instruments. It is expected that the successful applicant will deliver on the core responsibilities and meet any requirements of the position as outlined below.
What will you do?
- Manage and maintain the Microsoft Exchange environment, including Exchange Server and Office 365.
- Perform regular system maintenance, updates, and patches to ensure the stability and security of the Exchange infrastructure.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to optimize performance and reliability.
- Manage user accounts, mailboxes, distribution groups, and other Exchange-related objects.
- Implement and manage email security measures, including spam filtering, antivirus and encryption.
- Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans and procedures for the Exchange environment.
- Provide technical support and guidance to end-users and other IT staff.
- Collaborate with other IT teams to integrate Exchange with other systems and applications.
- Stay up to date with the latest developments in Exchange Server and related technologies.
Essential Requirements
- You must be an Australian Citizen at the time of application.
- A Negative Vetting 2 security clearance or the ability to obtain one.
- Has contemporary knowledge and experience relevant to the role.
- Minimum of 6 years’ experience in a like or related field.
Desirable Requirements
- Applicants with tertiary qualifications in relevant field would be highly regarded.
Additional Information
- This position can be worked from any capital city in Australia but will report into the section based in Canberra, ACT.
