As a Marketing Officer (Band 3 or Band 4) within this team, you will play a key role in supporting the AFP’s attraction marketing strategy, content marketing activities, film, tv and podcast activities, campaigns and events.

 

We’re looking for a versatile marketing and communications professional who’s comfortable rolling up their sleeves and contributing across a range of projects. Desirable skills include communications, event coordination, campaign management, copywriting, content creation, email nurture strategies, social media management, and strong stakeholder engagement.

 

What will you do?

As Marketing Officer, you will:  

  • Support initiatives to raise the AFP profile to make it a household brand and an employer of choice.  
  • Support and implement the AFP recruitment marketing and attraction strategy implementation and evaluation.  
  • Assist with branding and content development, planning and delivery.
  • Support the delivery of campaigns.
  • Film, TV, Entertainment and Podcast support (including the Crime Interrupted podcast).  
  • Assist with organisation and attendance at face-to-face career fairs for a range of audiences as required.  
  • Establish, build, and manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders to deliver on intended outcomes. 
  • Administrative tasks and other duties related to the Marketing Communications team as required. 

Essential Requirements

  • You must be an Australian Citizen at the time of application.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Negative Vetting 1 security clearance.
  • Tertiary qualifications in marketing, communications, journalism or media and/or experience in a similar field.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a like or related field (applicable to Band 4)
  • Minimum 2 years experience in a like or related field (applicable to Band 3)
 

Desirable Requirements

 

  • Project or campaign management experience.
  • Ability to manage assigned projects with support from Team Leader.
  • Ability to be flexible and dynamic in response to changing priorities.
  • Ability to cultivate productive and effective working relationships.
  • High level of attention to detail.
