What is the role?
Applications are sought from suitably qualified applicants wishing to be considered for the role of Complex Payroll Services Team Member with a focus on Commonwealth Superannuation.
The AFP is undertaking a range of remediation projects, including finalisation of a Superannuation remediation project. As part of a team, you will get the opportunity to use your expertise as a subject matter expert to support the project outcomes.
You will be required to contribute to the achievement of outcomes in accordance with the regulatory framework, the AFP Code of Conduct and the AFP Governance Instruments. It is expected that the successful applicant will deliver on the core responsibilities and meet any requirements of the position as outlined below.
Working within the Payroll Project Remediation team, you provide an important contribution to the frontline endeavours of the AFP. You will learn more about the exciting work that the AFP does to deliver on our mission to protect Australians and Australia's interests.

What will you do?
- Contributing to team outcomes, including undertaking remediation activities
- Calculating employee superannuation entitlements
- Undertaking general administrative duties associated with remediation outcomes and financial services
- Establishing and maintaining collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Delivering quality service and professional practices and standards
- Contributing to a positive and energetic team culture; and
- Maintaining currency in subject matter expertise through on-going professional development and learning opportunities
Essential Requirements
- You must be an Australian Citizen at the time of application
- A Negative Vetting 1 (Secret) security clearance or the ability to obtain one
- Contemporary Payroll, Human Resources, Corporate and/or Finance experience
- Demonstrated experience with HR/Payroll systems
