What is the role?
Applications are sought from suitably qualified, ongoing members for the position of Team Member, Digital Innovation and Support Team within Investigations Standards and Practices (ISP).
The ISP serves as a professional practice body, advocating for consistency, standards, and quality in supporting investigations across the AFP. It plays a pivotal role in driving the development and implementation of best practices and providing frontline investigators with essential advice. ISP is seeking suitably qualified members to perform support roles within the ISP Digital Innovation and Support Team.
This role is responsible for the ongoing support of the Investigators Toolkit and the development and maintenance of tools within this platform, the Investigations Management Solution (IMS) and more broadly ISP. The successful candidate will have a combination of technical expertise and problem-solving skills.
As a Team Member in the AFP you will be required to contribute to the achievement of outcomes in accordance with the regulatory framework, the AFP Code of Conduct and the AFP Governance Instruments. It is expected that the successful applicant will deliver on the core responsibilities and meet any requirements of the position as outlined below.
What will you do?
The successful candidate will be expected to:
- Identify, develop and support potential new digital projects and opportunities.
- Analyse information and develop digital solutions to problems applying exceptional attention to detail.
- Demonstrate high level organisational skills, including the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Be self-motivated, with the ability to work in a small team environment or autonomously as required.
- Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including high level writing, editing and presentation skills.
- Perform daily maintenance, content development and management of the Investigator’s Toolkit.
- Maintain currency of investigative reference material.
- Monitor and assess internal requests via internal tasking methods.
- Liaise with key stakeholders on system improvement objectives.
- Mentor new team members, share information and provide advice fostering a positive learning culture within the team, ISP and broader organisation.
Essential Requirements
- You must be an Australian Citizen at the time of application.
- A Negative Vetting 1 (Secret) security clearance or the ability to obtain one.
- Demonstrated ability to produce high quality documentation using computer applications such as Microsoft 365, Excel, Visio and Adobe PDF
- Strong attention to detail
- Basic understanding of HTML and JavaScript or the aptitude to obtain this knowledge through training.
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Strong client focus
Desirable Requirements
The following skills and/or experience would be highly regarded:
- Experience in the use of SharePoint and M365 in an enterprise environment
- Knowledge of information management practices
