What is the role?
The AFP is seeking a dynamic individual for a Workforce System Support role in the People Analytics team, based at the AFP Headquarters in Barton, ACT.
The role is perfect for someone eager to apply their logical and systematic thinking and process-oriented mindset in the realm of organisational design and management. If you are someone enthusiastic about processes, tracking and data reporting, this role offers an exciting opportunity to grow in a collaborative environment and understand the AFP systems and hierarchy.
What will you do?
As a member of the Human Resources branch you will play an integral role in contributing to administrative and processing tasks within our enterprise system, working across multiple stakeholders to understand their requirements and be the subject matter expert when it comes to the AFP Organisational Hierarchy.
Tasks performed in this role range from processing organisational change requests, to undertaking more complex restructure projects. You will engage with a wide variety of stakeholders across the Organisation and all levels and be seen as the subject matter expert when it comes to Organisational design. You will also be at the forefront of coming up with ways the AFP may improve this process and engage with stakeholders on your ideas.
Core responsibilities
- Managing Establishment changes in the Enterprise system, ensuring accuracy, integrity and quality control.
- Building strong relationships and actively engaging and collaborating with key stakeholders across the Organisation.
- Provide advice to multiple areas of the AFP to assist in ensuring their organisational structure meets their requirement alongside the governance framework.
- Working between both technical and non-technical personnel to answer questions / queries, and troubleshoot issues any issues that may arise.
- Displaying good judgment in assessing information that is sensitive and uses established guidelines in determining if that information can be shared or disseminated.
- Knowledge of AFP’s policies, procedures and practices in Organisational Management, how things are done, what the quality standards are, and how the IT systems assist the work.

Essential Requirements
- You must be an Australian Citizen at the time of application.
- A Negative Vetting 1 (Secret) security clearance or the ability to obtain one.
- System experience using SAP for HR and/or Finance functions such as organisational structure management.
- Familiarity with the HR work environment and HR reporting.
