An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced and dynamic individual to join the AFP in a key strategic role responsible for the development and delivery of Logistics and Commercial Support.

 

Applications are sought from applicants wishing to be considered for the role of Logistics Officer to further strengthen the Western Command CCSU Commercial Team.

 

As a Commercial Team Member you work under the direction of your Senior Team Members and Team Leader to deliver professional, high quality and timely finance and commercial services. You work under minimal supervision to achieve high quality results, you anticipate and adapt to changing priorities and suggest new ways of working with the team. You take responsibility for achieving the objectives you are allocated and managing your work through to completion. You will build effective relationships with other team members, frontline staff and other key stakeholders that is based on mutual respect and a genuine understanding of others needs to deliver high quality corporate services to the Command.

 

This role is based at Western Command, located in our Perth Headquarters. Successful Applicants will be required to relocate to Perth.

 

As a Team Member in the AFP you will be required to contribute to the achievement of outcomes in accordance with the regulatory framework, the AFP Code of Conduct and the AFP Governance Instruments. It is expected that the successful applicant will deliver on the core responsibilities and meet any requirements of the position as outlined below.

What will you do?

 

The Commercial team supports the Command through the delivery of financial and commercial services. As Commercial Support Team Member, your responsibilities include:

 

  • Work collaboratively with the Chief Finance Officer Portfolio, national and local teams to effectively manage Command Facilities, Fleet and Logistics.
  • Provision of building and accommodation services including spatial planning, accommodation projects and safe & key management.
  • Provision of Fleet Services including new leasing, decommissioning, servicing, fuel cards, insurance claims, car parking & traffic infringements, and log book reviews to assist with FBT reporting.
  • Asset Management activities, asset disposal and general asset queries.
  • Provision of logistics services, including national roll-outs, stock control, event support, maintaining stores.

Essential Requirements

  • You must be an Australian Citizen at the time of application.
  • A Negative Vetting 1 (Secret) security clearance or the ability to obtain one.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • High level of organisational and time management skills.
  • Intermediate or Advanced Microsoft Excel Skills.
